How do I add a new link category?

Select the site (if you have multiple sites), click on the parent category, and click on the “Add Category” link.

How do I change or remove an existing link?

Select the site (if you have multiple sites), click on the desired category, and click the “Delete” link in the Action column. If you do not know the category, click on the “Link Search” link and enter the URL in the pop-up window.

How do I handle link requests from external webmasters?

You will receive an email any time an external webmaster do a URL submit request. You can activate or decline the link. If you decline the link, you will still see it in LinkMgr, but it will not appear on the site. You can remove the declined link from LinkMgr at any time. Before approving the link, you must ensure that it meets basic guidelines for proper URL submit (learn more)

How do I move a link from one category to another?

Select the site (if you have multiple sites), click on the desired category, click the “Move” link in the Action column, and select a different category using the drop-down box.

Why doesn’t the link I just entered appear on my website?

Be sure that you entered the link under the correct category, if not move it to the correct category. If it is in the correct category, be sure that you have made the link “Active”.

How do I send an invitation to other webmasters to link to my site?

Once you have located a website that you would like to submit URL's with, enter their information in the relevant category in LinkMgr. After creating the link, click the “Submit Request” url, enter their email address, and click he “Submit” button.

How do I change the order that the links appear?

Select the desired category and use the drop-down box in the order column to move any of the links.

What should I do when an external webmaster contacts me about exchanging links?

Reply back to the webmaster and include the URL of the page on your site that captures the external webmaster information. To find this page, go to the relevant category and click the “Click here to submit URL” link.

How do I import a list of links from a spreadsheet?

Select the desired category and click on the “Import Links” link. You will see the layout for the import function. Browse, select your file, and click the “Submit” button. (learn more)

How do I install LinkMgr into my website?

Why doesn’t the LinkMgr page look anything like the rest of my pages?

If the page has no header, footer, or navigation, your template has not been set up. Login, select the site, click on “Edit Site Profile”, and select the “Template Setup” tab. (learn more)
